Dr Ian T Nicolson is a retired environmental auditor originally from Scotland, UK, and has spent the past 29 years living in Asia, including Hong Kong and Thailand. He is also a volunteer member of the Pattaya Expat Club production team and frequently chairs the open forum.
During the periods of lockdown and self-isolation, he began recording the films and television programmes he had watched and enjoyed. His preferences lean toward strong acting and well-written stories, with a particular interest in historical, costume, and crime dramas rather than science fiction or superhero-style films.
He uses IMDb as a guide when deciding what to watch, and based on his experience, anything rated above 7 out of 10 is usually worth viewing. As he has a poor memory, he also uses Trakt to keep track of what he has already seen.
